Lots of summer skies from our holiday in southern Italy. Most of the above were taken from the terrazza of my parents house. They live in an apartment on the 4th floor of a building very close to the beach and the view is amazing. You can see the entire Gulf of Squillace, and on a clear day you can easily spot the farthest southern end. I will never have enough of this view and it is one of the things I miss the most. 

The House Garden

Just finished this House Garden illustration inspired by one of my mum's kitchen towel from her dowry. I decided to use Arches hot pressed paper, and although is not my favourite brand, I think it was perfect for this subject. And I'm already planning to make some more on a similar style.

The original painting will be up on sale on my Esty shop sometime this weekend.

It's week 34 and we are back to normality again! September is in the air, it's getting chilly in the early mornings and evenings, and the days are visibly shrinking. But the memory of the past holidays is slowly fading away, it feels like it's time to plan our next one already!

This week you:

• Returned to your daily routine with no effort, after two weeks of "no rules"!
• Started saying "cla-cla" when asking for acqua (water).
• Started saying 'Oh no!" with a funny voice everytime you dropped something on the floor.
• Had two of the canines out, only 6 teeth to go and we are done.
• Learned to do a fake smile, and it's funnier than your authentic (and beautiful) smile!

Pick of the Month: August // Dream Office Spaces

This house hunting thing is going very slow and doing my head in! There are only a few houses available in our price range and our preferred location; and when I say a few I mean 4 houses, one of which is on a small island! But that does not stop me about planning dreaming about my future work space. And although my Mr and I will have to share a room to start with, I’m already picturing it in my head. I’m thinking loads of storage, subtle colours, homemade wall arts, a comfy chair and possibly a sofa with loads of cushions and a nice free standing lamp for some late night reading.

This new house of ours is slowly coming together room by room, and if it wouldn’t just be in my head, it would be a dream house.
