39/52

It's week 39 and I still love this project! It has been a quiet week this one. We are still enjoying some family time on wednesdays and thursdays when we are all at home, the mild temperatures and the slower pace of life.
This week you:
  • Insisted on wearing my scarf and you were so cool with it!
  • Learned so many new words. Our favourite is when you start jumping like mad shouting "balla, balla, balla!" (Dance, dance, dance!). And we got you in a video while you do that :)
  • Saw a comforter similar to yours (just a newer version) in the shop and you got so excited I had to buy it. But it was so worthy, as soon as you got it you started kissing it and made the two comforters kissing each other.
And my favourite from last week are the portraits from Twins, Plus One. Love the colours, the outdoor surroundings and Poppy's gorgeous smile.

30 Days of Lists // September 2013 // Lists 11-20

And here we are with the next 10 lists for this September. I feel like playing catch up everyday, as my little miss has discovered my yellow box where I keep all my stickers, stamps, washi, scraps, etc which I'm using for this month's #30lists. And she is utterly obsessed with all of them. Having said so, I have to wait after she goes to bed in the evening to finish off each list and this is causing some delays in taking pictures, posting, etc. I'm planning to get her her own box, with her own supplies so she can play her own #30lists without disrupting mine.
Here are lists 11 to 20.
If you want to know more about this project check 30daysoflists.com; we can still take up on previous lists.
All my previous lists and related posts can be found here. Daily lists will be published on Instagram (here to follow) with the hashtag #30lists and on flickr (here to follow) under the 30daysoflistsgroup.

38/52

It's week 38 and autumn is now in full swing!
This week you:
  • Talked and talked and talked. On one afternoon you talked for one hour straight before finally falling down for a nap! It's fun, but very exhausting.
  • Loved building a fort with a blanket and playing under it with your favourite toys. You loved it so much you cried in the evening when we took it down, and asked to build it again the following day.
  • Were down with high temperature for two days, but it didn't bother you and played all day long as normal (didn't even loose your appetite!).
  • Wore a paper crown just long enough for me to snap a picture of you. You enjoyed watching me making one, but the wearing it part was not as funny.
  • Jumped with excitement when I gave you some barbapapa printouts for you to colour. And you have not stopped since!
From last week loving Zack, Vaila and Katie from muckle mum. What an artistic and sweet family!

September always brings a renewed energy with it. The days start to get shorter, the evenings are cooler and it feels like you have a second chance to start something new with a fresh and relaxed mind. September it’s the month for planning the rest of the year, thinking about Christmas, deciding which new tv shows to watch, having a wardrobe makeover and a house spring-clean. And it’s the month when you start to slow down again after the hustle and bustle of the summer months.

37/52

And it's week 37 and I'm still keeping up with this project! Summer is officially over, so last week we took out our autumn clothes and put away sandals, t-shirts and shorts for good. It was a good one and we miss it, but the new season is bringing a lot of fun already!
This week you:
  • Loved wearing your green wellies and jumping in muddy puddles.
  • Got your first work bench at a car boot sale and you love it!
  • Cried and screamed like mad during your doctor appointment.
  • Added new words to your tiny vocabulary: tat for latte (milk), si (yes) and gnammy (dummy!).
  • Carried your new green umbrella all around town pretending it was raining.
  • Had a fabulous day at nursery on Friday.
  • Gained your old appetite back after a week of mainly drinking milk.
  • Had nuts for breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. We would have known by now if you were allergic!
From last week loving Frankie's shot from birdy popcorn's happy days; it reminds me so well of that warm feeling of summer we are all missing terribly.

30 Days of Lists // September 2013 // Lists 1-10

After playing catch up for these first 10 lists, I'm now back on track and enjoying the daily prompts of this month's 30 days of lists. After much debate on how to make my lists nicer (and not just simple bullet point lists), I went for a bit of everything, die cuts, stickers, some coloured notes, collages and whatever I felt it was appropriate for each specific list.  I also tried different ways of taking pictures for each list, but at the end fell in love with the natural light I can only manage to get outdoor. The flowers and grenery in the background is from our front garden, it's still quite in bloom and love that extra bit of colour added to the picture.
Here is what my first 10 lists look like.

36/52

It's week 36 and the last of nice weather! we have been out to playgrounds, for walks and for a little play in the garden.

This week you:
  • Loved looking at your art displayed in our house. You pointed at the frames every time we passed by and when I ask you who made these you point at yourself and laugh.
  • Suffered with a blocked nose and back molar pain. Woke up in the middle of the night crying and refusing to switch off the light and go back to sleep. Forced papa to go playing with you in the living room instead.
  • Loved having both of us at home on wednesday and thursday. And enjoyed the afternoon trips to the playground before dinner .
  • Insisted on wearing your new checked shirt on Friday and that made you very happy!
And from last week, I fell in love with Bijou's, from this brown wren, and Ella's and Leila's, from 13 mimosa, flower crowns. It's good to know that it's already spring somewhere...

On listing // 30 Days of Lists

After the wonderful experience I had in participating at 30 days of lists back in March this year, I didn’t have any hesitation when I received a pre-event registration email from Amy and Kam to sign up again this September.
I love making lists, I make a list for everything; it helps me to free up a bit of space in my brain and not to wake up at night afraid I will forget all the things I want have to do.
My favourite and most used bullet point is a simple black circle, but from time to time I like to experiment with something else, be it a star, a dash, an arrow, you name it.
My favourite paper used to be a simple coloured post-it note that I could stick anywhere and then throw away after each item was crossed off. But a few months ago I designed a number of small to-do-list notebooks which have now become my favourite place for listing tasks, grocery lists, etc. And I’m loving it. And I’m planning to keep them all stored in a box. As I got carried away with making notebooks, I listed some of them on my Etsy shop for fellow listers to buy. Please have a look here.
For this September’s round of 30 Days of Lists I decided to create a similar version of my March notebook (here), to keep everything consistent for this year.
Again I used an A6 eco seawhite sketchbook and embellished with a letterpressed front cover, some washi tape and die-cuts. Plus whatever will come to my mind as I go along this month’s challenges. And I’ve chosen the colour green again.
During the past edition of 30 lists I was publishing a list a day here on the blog. For this current edition, I will be combining the lists in 3 posts throughout the month, each with 10 lists. Daily lists will be published on Instagram (here to follow) with the hashtag #30lists and on flickr (hereto follow) under the 30daysoflistsgroup.

35/52

Oh this week! Not much and a lot has happened at the same time. The summer is not quite over yet (yeah!) and we are enjoying our family time in the garden and at the playground.
This week you:
  • Said 'Mama noooo!' during lunch time just because I wasn't eating with you and papa. But the fact is that we laughed so much that you now keep repeating it everytime I don't do something with you.
  • Finally said the word 'nonno' and made your grandpas very very happy!
  • Got another canine cutting through.
  • Had a cough for a couple of days. And were crying in your sleep at night every time you had to cough. But refused to take anything to make it better.
  • Learned to drink from a glass. And you almost seemed a proper grown up until you started dipping your fingers in it!
  • Shedded big proper tears of sadness at the end of one of Musti's episode when the turtle starts waving goodbye. I did try to explain to you that the turtle was going to come back, but it didn't make a difference and I had to hug and comfort you.
  • Loved your new tiny kitchen we got from our local charity shop. It does need some TLC but you didn't even notice.
From last week got to love Matilda's shiny red shoes from Little Beds. And glad to know it's not just my little lady who's obsessed with red shoes!
