30 Days of Lists // March 2015

And so the listing has begun! After a year long hiatus, I've joined the 30 days of lists project back again. If you are new to this, it's a month long online project where a prompt is sent to you every day and what you do is to jot down a list using whatever style and medium you like. Since I love paper so much, I made my own pamphlet stitch book for this challenge. It's about 8x12cm, and I used a sheet of patterned paper from the Flow Book for Paper Lovers 2. I then used some small coloured, ruled and lined paper to glue to each page and to write the lists on.
I will be sharing my lists on Instagram every day (@ marina_cerra) and on the blog at the end of the month. Happy listing!

Time

I keep making lists, afraid I will forget the millions of things that I want to do, the ideas that come to mind and that I physically don’t have the time to do straight away. I would need a day of at least 48 hours and enough energy to accomplish everything I want. Will I ever have enough spare time to play with ideas, try new things and just slow down? Probably not for the next foreseeable future. For what I know, I can only make the most of the very few hours a week when a spare moment just happens unexpectedly. And that, believe me, requires a lot of energy and concentration and determination. I always have to be prepared, spend no more than 5 minutes thinking about how much time I’m more likely to have and what’s the best way to use it.
As it stands, and if I’m lucky, my happy time consists of 3 lunch times a week, about 30 minutes each, 2 slots of about 2 hours over the weekend, during Olivia’s nap, and the evenings, when most of the time I’m too tired to do anything but watch TV or fall asleep on the couch. That would give me a maximum of 5.5 hours per week, excluding the evenings. Is this enough? I don’t think so. But that’s what’s available to me right now, and that’s what I have to work with. And it’s ok if my to-do list will keep growing and things will have to wait. I do get frustrated sometimes, but I’m managing my spare time to the best of my abilities and living hoping that this 5 hours per week will become 5 days per week one day.
Do you have enough time in your day to do your things? How are you managing your time? xxx

30 Days of Lists // September 2013 // Lists 21-30

And so this project has reached to an end. It feels like this month has gone by too quickly and I haven't really savoured the daily prompts as much as I would have liked. But so glad I managed to do this once again. It gives me a nice feeling flicking through the pages of the mini book I created for this challenge. And reading back each and every day's list gives me a new perspective about the month that has just passed. Sometimes I feel like I don't have time to slow down and think, to enjoy life and to look at it from the outside, but looking back at the lists gives me a sense of accomplishment, a proof of my existence, the sensation that  this September has been a good month after all!
So here go the last 10 lists:

30 Days of Lists // September 2013 // Lists 11-20

And here we are with the next 10 lists for this September. I feel like playing catch up everyday, as my little miss has discovered my yellow box where I keep all my stickers, stamps, washi, scraps, etc which I'm using for this month's #30lists. And she is utterly obsessed with all of them. Having said so, I have to wait after she goes to bed in the evening to finish off each list and this is causing some delays in taking pictures, posting, etc. I'm planning to get her her own box, with her own supplies so she can play her own #30lists without disrupting mine.
Here are lists 11 to 20.

30 Days of Lists // September 2013 // Lists 1-10

After playing catch up for these first 10 lists, I'm now back on track and enjoying the daily prompts of this month's 30 days of lists. After much debate on how to make my lists nicer (and not just simple bullet point lists), I went for a bit of everything, die cuts, stickers, some coloured notes, collages and whatever I felt it was appropriate for each specific list.  I also tried different ways of taking pictures for each list, but at the end fell in love with the natural light I can only manage to get outdoor. The flowers and grenery in the background is from our front garden, it's still quite in bloom and love that extra bit of colour added to the picture.
Here is what my first 10 lists look like.
